Welcome to The Garden of Eden, where we envision creating a holistic haven for health and wellness in the heart of Baltimore, MD. Founded by Maya Senior, a passionate advocate for maternal health equity,  our center is committed to revolutionizing the way we approach healthcare.

 

Our vision is to establish The Garden of Eden Healing Center and Birthing Spa—a sanctuary inspired by ancient healing traditions and modern healthcare practices. Drawing inspiration from diverse cultures, including but not limited to Korean bathhouses, known as Jjimjilbangs, African traditional healing, and Chinese Traditional Medicine, our center will provide a serene environment where individuals can escape the stresses of daily life and reconnect with their bodies, minds, and spirits.

 

At The Garden of Eden, we believe that true wellness encompasses physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Our center will offer a range of gender-separated locker rooms, hot tubs, showers, and saunas, providing the perfect space for relaxation and rejuvenation. Guests can also enjoy coed outdoor pools, tranquil garden areas, and themed sleeping quarters, and creating a holistic wellness experience unlike any other.

 

In addition to our day spa amenities, The Garden of Eden will include a birthing spa, offering expectant mothers a comfortable and supportive environment for childbirth. With amenities such as queen-sized hospital beds, birthing tubs, and personalized birthing plans, we aim to provide comprehensive care and support during this special time.

 

Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion will be woven into every aspect of our center. As a Black-owned and Black-led initiative, we are dedicated to celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures and traditions that make up our community. Our goal is to offer culturally relevant services that honor our shared humanity and promote healing and wellness for all.
